Shift & Demands: 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am) Sunday through Friday. Work may also be required on Saturday's depending on need.

If you do not feel you are able to work this shift or accommodate the schedule demand, this may not be a good fit.

Role and Responsibilities Specific duties include but are not limited to:

· Treat and process water to meet, not exceed, the required discharge level of metals as described by the city of Wixom before discharging.

· Maintain proper chemical levels in all feed, holding, and storage tanks relating to operation of waste treatment.

· Add chemicals to tank and dump sludge press when required.

· Ensure all air diaphragm and mechanical pumps are in proper operation and being properly maintained.

· Maintain and document all forms pertaining to record keeping for Adept Plastic Finishing and the City of Wixom.

· Assisting in the removal of all hazardous waste, keeping clean and safe work area.

· Calibrate pH and ORP Probes when scheduled.

· Identify problems of water related to sight, smell and over limit violations.

· Other duties as assigned.

Skill and Education requirements:

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or a minimum of one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to obtain forklift license.
• Mathematical Skills: Calculate figures such as percentages, flow rate, volume and basic algebra.

· Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to speak and interpret a variety of instructions in English, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Physical Demands include: standing, walking, using hands to feel/hold objects, tools or controls.

· Must be able to pass hazardous waste training class.

Necessary Attributes:

· Learns and retains new information faster than most

· Requires minimal supervision/ability to work independently

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet and humid conditions, fumes, and airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals and extreme heat. Initial training is required within 6months of employment to a position where hazardous materials are handled. Refresher training will be completed annually.
